There are multiple ways to be mobile around town, for example riding your bike, skateboarding, and driving. Driving is a basic necessity for adults being able to commute around town. Growing up and getting your license can be very exciting, but what if I told you in 2020, there will be models of cars that are vehicle automation?
Pretty soon we’ll be relying on self driving cars to take us places. It is said to believe that this will lower the number of fatalities and injuries related to accidents in addition to the “costly collisions” that are related to it. Technology has managed to infiltrate everything we’ve done daily, but cars really? The advancements were made for the betterment for our society, but can we really trust theses super modified cars to be safe? There are several what ifs in this case of having a self driving car to rely on. What if theses self driving cars can be hacked? What if there are malfunctions while it’s operating? How could you possible prepare yourself for any of these situations if you yourself are relying on an automatic vehicle? These self driving cars were designed to eliminate human driving errors that could potentially result in car crashes. Even without human errors, car crashes are inevitable. So in the inevitable car crash, where would that leave the car to make life threatening/saving decisions?
