Is The World Becoming More Dangerous?

War between countries has been going on for a long time and you would think after all the death and destruction the world would try to settle conflicts between each other and try to prosper as a human race. Unfortunately that is not so, because of greedy and power hungry people who are ignorant to the problem, and instead focus on their counties/their needs. Statistics say that despite these complications that the world has been "extraordinarily peaceful"and war deaths has been declining since 1945.

Recently though this statement can be argued against because of the recent attacks in Syria, London, France, Bangladesh, and Iraq (etc.). Which creates a question that I also too have a trouble answering with 100% certainty, Is the world becoming more dangerous?

As we approach 11th grade, we see news announcement about ISIS, North Korea, or Russia and how they plot/attack against the western part of the world. Which has created fatalities (London Bridge to Borough Market - 7 dead, 48 injured ) that has increased tensions between countries and may potentially lead to war-like counterattacks. It is at times very unsettling to see all this conflict happening when I'm alive instead of not reading about it in a history book. For you maybe it is a concern too, or maybe it's just a a conflict that you think will die down once the "good guys" find the source of the problem. Despite whether the problem is dealt with or not,  I really think it is a question and a topic we all should be aware of as we reach adulthood and start searching for colleges because we do not know when these tensions could break out into a war; or if they will.

My overall perspective on this topic is that the war is becoming more dangerous. Not only do we not have a mature enough president to help us through these times (instead of making them worse), but a society that has passed the thought of discrimination, racism, and homophobia. We all have our own opinions about certain situations but when our country is in danger, it would be wise to push aside the useless banter and instead see how we as one can keep our country intact and safe.

  1. PS - I DO NOT BLAME PRESIDENT TRUMP FOR EVERY PROBLEM IN THE US, I JUST BELIEVE THAT HE HASN'T HELPED THE SITUATIONS! ~ Thank You (:
